Via JMG the Gothamist points us to this photo of Ground Zero taken yesterday morning. More than seven years later and it’s still mostly just a big hole in the ground. This shot faces west with New Jersey visible in the distance.

It’s sad to me to think that after all this time we have nothing to but a big hole. I understand that building something so large takes time, but my god of business men can put a their buildings in less time, why can’t we build this memorial? If they are truly taking time to do it right, that is one thing, but if this is just bureaucratic delays…that’s something different.

You would think that the importance and significance of this building would speed things along..or we’d atleast have more progress at this point that a giant hole.
