Craig Lowe Wins Mayor Seat

I’m proud to say that last night my fellow Gainesviller elected Craig Lowe as our first Gay Mayor. Mr. Lowe become the first openly gay mayor in the northern Florida, and one of fewer than 30 openly LGBT mayors serving in the U.S.
You may recall that his campaign was scared blatant anti-gay attacks from a “No Homo Mayor” sign prominently displayed on church lawn to the alse flier campaign which promised predatory “gays in women’s restrooms” should Lowe win.
Lowe won by just 35 votes and must undergo a mandatory recount that will take place Friday. We’ll be proud to call him Mayor and send our congratulations.
