Early Morning Rant
Good Morning!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was good, but painful. LOL My wonderful sister purchased a new chair for me…one that is extremely comfortable and is already helping my back. It’s one that works great with my desk too, so while I’m working or browsing..I can sit comfortable and not be in so much pain as before. The problem with getting the new chair was making it fit in the room. So we had to rearrange the entire room. I did as little as I could (she wouldn’t let me help anyway) but did have to help some. I can hardly move today…but it’s worth it and thank God I have drugs!!! LOL
Now for my rant!
I happen to like the show “The Amazing Race” but the problem with that is CBS can’t pull their heads out of their ass long enough to start the show on time. Every year it’s the same bullshit too. Some football game ran late which makes everything else run late for the rest of the night. DVR’s don’t know that though and only record when it’s suppose to…when the info on the tv says the show comes on. It doesn’t know that CBS is fucking stupid as all hell and can’t start shit on time.
This year is the 20th season of the show…you would think they’d start on time right? Nope. They even tweeted about how it’s the 20th season blah blah blah and still started the show almost 30 minutes late. I now have to program my dvr to take Amazing Race and the show after Amazing race…just so I can get one full show. I’m sooo annoyed!
Speaking of annoying… I decided that I’m going to give up my rule about no watermarks. More and more studies are using watermarks for branding purposes and if I go all anti watermarks/branding I won’t have anything to post. That said, I’m still going to do my best to use as few as possible.
Hell, maybe it only bothers me, I don’t know…

I am SO glad you brought that up about starting Amazing Race on time. I’ve been a fan of AR for years so i understand that I have to tape at least a half hour long for football & golf and other sports. But last night was so difficult. It felt like every good show was on at 9pm last night. I had to shuffle the DVR around a lot and will still have to watch a show online. the things I do for tv….
PS- I don’t mind the small watermarks in the corner, they’re not what I’m looking at anyway ;o)
@alterego1980 Yeah it just really bugs me how they do their shows. Don’t tell me a show is going to start at 8 or 9 and then it doesn’t start until way later. They don’t even bother to update the information on the screens…anyway…they annoy me.
Hi Baby, On the Water Mark subject. I actually like knowing the models and photographers name. If it’s done tastefully and not made to be an Advertising gimmick. It would seem proper if this photographer makes a living off photography we should give them proper credit. It also gives me a change to visit there website and learn more about them. So, on that note I don’t mind at all. The only thing I worry about is Copyright infringement even being in public domain I like to respect there rights, yet wonder if they even care as I’ve not come across many over the years that have actually said anything to me. Only Island photography and to me it’s a deserves if photographers can’t see the advantage of having there photos re-blogged. It’s free advertising after all we do have followers that would never have a chance to see there work… As the Rick Days of the net, He is world known and his photos are constantly being shown. Nobody would know his name if he enforced the Copyright.
@DanyQT You’re right. Have the time the images that I find don’t have names or anything at all so yeah I guess I forgot about the obvious reasons. We all know that not everyone gives credit so yeah, good points.

Your sister is such a Sweetheart to get you a new chair ! Feel Lucky that you have Siblings that care for you that much . As far as The Amazing Race and CBS goes , GIVE EM HELL Sister !! Now , The whole Watermark thing is becoming a Modern – Day Necessity for Artists , so I completely understand . As an Artist , I have to struggle with this topic every time I upload my work to a website . It’s no easy decision , but it often is the only way to protect your work . Sad , but True .
@WilliamMeemken Yeah, I guess my no watermark policy was a bit harsh and out of date. I just like clean images and hate to see all the branding. I know it’s necessity now days so I surrender. LOL
As for my chair and my sister…I’m extremely lucky. I don’t know what I would do without her, she takes care of me. I feel bad about it and feel bad that I can’t contribute anything but she assures me whenever I mention it that it’s no big deal and that she wouldn’t want anyone else taking care of me. She’s good to me!! I’m very lucky!
I’m looking forward to one day getting my disability approved so I can contribute something again…that will be a glorious day!

Don’t Feel Bad about it , just let her know how much it means to you to have her help you out . I’m sure that’s all she would want . One day your Disability coverage will start , and you WILL be able to help her , so don’t beat yourself up too much over it . As the Slogin goes , ” It Will Get Better ” !
